The laser rangefinder of the Leica Geovid R 15x56mm is a powerful and accurate unit, capable of accurate range measurements from 10 up to 1300m in either scan or single measurement mode. The laser is invisible and eye friendly, as not to irritate the user. Further development of the Geovid HD line to create the Geovid R line has also seen an addition of a ballistic calculator. This extremely accurate and simple to use system utilises a brand new EHR function, which displays the equivalent horizontal range for maximised precision when shooting on a slope. 12 different preloaded ballistic curves allow for the best match for a specific calibre or load. Information, such as range and the required bullet compensation in either cm of drop, clicks required or, if using a Leica riflescope with the ASV turret, the position of the turret, is displayed on an internal LED display with automatic brightness adjustment for an optimal display in any light conditions.
