Swarovski SLC 56mm model made in Austria by Swarovski Optik is suitable for short-range observations in low-light conditions. 8x magnifications with 56mm lenses that draw in plenty of light are suitable for observations in dense wooded areas by hunters, birdwatchers and shooters. They are heavier to carry around but good ergonomic solution with slim design and thumb depressions helps with a comfortable wrap-around grip. The Magnesium body and dark green rubber armor protects construction against abrasions and impacts and also helps with a firm grip. Due to full sized lenses it’s recommended mounting them to a tripod to produce steady images. Modern features implemented in this conventional body includes dielectric prism mirrors (Swarobright) and P coatings on Abbe-Koenig prism that provides incredibly sharp images and good resolution from edge to edge. Unique Swarovski coatings such as Swarotop, Swarodur and Swarobright on all glass surfaces also exceedingly increases light transmission and provides lifelike colors without excess of blue hue. Swaroclean on external glass surfaces also helps to wipe away moisture, oil and other particles very easily. They are purged with Nitrogen gas and sealed with O-rings making them impervious to water, dust and eliminating internal fogging when it comes to temperature fluctuations. They can even be submerged to water depth of 4 meters (13 feet) making them extremely durable and able to withstand harsh weather conditions. This SLC binocular is also equipped with twist-up eyecups, and central focus wheel and diopter for adjusting the proper focus.
